The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steinbrenner throws a sloppy head kick and Belcole moves out of range easily.

Belcole has managed to clinch.

Belcole decides to pull guard.
Steinbrenner won't allow Belcole to sweep him here.

Belcole has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Steinbrenner off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Steinbrenner moves into the clinch successfully.

Steinbrenner gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Belcole connects with a knee to the head.
Steinbrenner could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Belcole has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Steinbrenner avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Belcole has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Steinbrenner uses from the top position.

Steinbrenner can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Belcole is looking to escape.

Belcole tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Steinbrenner avoids it.

Steinbrenner pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Steinbrenner working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Belcole doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Belcole manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Steinbrenner wants to control but Belcole passes easily into half guard.
Steinbrenner might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Belcole is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Steinbrenner darts in and clinches Belcole up against the cage.
Belcole wants to take the fight to the mat but Steinbrenner manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Belcole lands a good knee to the midsection. Steinbrenner won't want to take too many of those.
Steinbrenner doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Belcole ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Belcole no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Steinbrenner's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Steinbrenner has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Belcole has his feet on Steinbrenner's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Steinbrenner closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Belcole to the mat! Belcole manages to get full guard.

Belcole is staying active underneath Steinbrenner, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Belcole escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Steinbrenner gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Steinbrenner looking to sit in guard and control but Belcole gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Steinbrenner wants to stand up but Belcole is controlling him.

Belcole got a little sloppy there for a moment and Steinbrenner has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Belcole has managed to get both his arms back between Steinbrenner's legs - danger averted.

Belcole takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Steinbrenner tries to roll over but Belcole keeps him under control.

A close second round but Brian Belcole will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Belcole throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Steinbrenner's waist but Steinbrenner gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Belcole off to one side.
Steinbrenner keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Steinbrenner has taken the fight to the clinch.
Belcole is looking to control Steinbrenner's arms but Steinbrenner gets an underhook and turns him. Now Belcole has his back to the cage.
Steinbrenner misses with a knee strike.
Belcole jumps guard but Steinbrenner stands there with Belcole around his waist. Belcole gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Eric Steinbrenner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Belcole.
Steinbrenner jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Belcole walks away with a smile on his face. Steinbrenner gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Steinbrenner stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Steinbrenner wants it to stay on the feet.

Belcole jumps guard but Steinbrenner stands there with Belcole around his waist. Belcole gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Steinbrenner is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Belcole is keeping busy.
Belcole takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Belcole drops down looking for an ankle pick but Steinbrenner pulls his leg out and moves away.
No joy there for Steinbrenner, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Steinbrenner misses with a series of wild punches.
Belcole fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Brian Belcole seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Steinbrenner can't find room to land a body shot as Belcole controls the action.
Steinbrenner tries to work over Belcole's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Belcole fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Steinbrenner avoids it really well and circles away.
Steinbrenner connects with a leg kick. Belcole looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Steinbrenner clinches up with Belcole and pushes him back against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Steinbrenner is trying to drag Belcole to the mat but Belcole just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Belcole is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Steinbrenner has had enough of the clinch but Belcole keeps him there for the moment.
Steinbrenner wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Belcole swings wildly with an uppercut but Steinbrenner uses good head movement to avoid it.
