The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kingston looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Karelin misses with an uppercut. Kingston saw that one coming.
Karelin missing with a left hand there. Kingston was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Karelin closes the distance and clinches up with Kingston, looking for a takedown. Karelin pushes Kingston against the cage but Kingston circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Karelin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kingston.
Kyle Kingston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kingston throws a leg kick but Karelin checks it.

Karelin instigates a clinch.
Kingston gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Karelin.

Kingston is fighting off a takedown attempt but Karelin is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Kingston to the mat. Kingston regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Kingston keeping moving, preventing Karelin from controlling successfully.
Karelin sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kingston's guard.
Karelin is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Karelin is landing with some decent strikes but Kingston is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Karelin lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Karelin is in the full mount, landing strikes.


It looks like Kyle Kingston has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Karelin pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.


Kingston is rocked!
Karelin unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Kingston wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Karelin celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
