Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Julio Gutierrez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elvis Ronan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ronan has chosen Promised Land as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gutierrez tries to clinch
and Ronan counters with a right hand to the body.
Ronan scores with a nice strike.
Gutierrez throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ronan scores with a sloppy right hand. Gutierrez should have avoided that one.
Ronan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ronan throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Horrible takedown by Gutierrez or perhaps it was just good defense by Ronan which made him look bad.
Ronan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gutierrez.
Ronan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gutierrez moves away.
Elvis Ronan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ronan leaves Gutierrez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Ronan lands a nice hook to Gutierrez's body. Gutierrez takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Ronan misses with a double jab.
Ronan scores with a nice right hand.

Gutierrez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ronan pinned against the cage. Ronan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Gutierrez dives in and grabs Ronan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ronan pushes down on Gutierrez's head and hops out.
Gutierrez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ronan.
Gutierrez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ronan swats him away and circles back towards the center.

It looks like Julio Gutierrez has been cut.
A shot to the liver by Ronan. Beautiful body shot.
Oh Gutierrez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gutierrez is breathing heavily.
Ronan connects with a body shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ronan is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Gutierrez flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Gutierrez is out cold! Ronan holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Elvis Ronan decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
