The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Shaw looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Papadakis takes a swing at Shaw's ribcage but misses.
Papadakis takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Shaw is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Papadakis to keep the fight standing.

Papadakis has hold of Shaw's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Shaw manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Papadakis swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Shaw is now in Papadakis's guard. A big mistake from Papadakis there, giving up the dominant position!
