Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pushkar Puneet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Hynan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pushkar Puneet! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Simon Hynan! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hynan ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Hynan avoids a punch combination nicely.
Puneet throws a nice looking combination but Hynan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Nice takedown defense from Hynan. No joy for Puneet on that attempt. Hynan closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Puneet's guard. Hynan stands up from Puneet's guard - Hynan perhaps looking for a knockout. Puneet displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hynan. Hynan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Hynan looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hynan tries for a kimura but Puneet is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Puneet managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Hynan.
Hynan decides to stand back up. Puneet ducks right into an uppercut from Hynan. Hynan stuffs the takedown. Puneet tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Hynan tries to clinch but Puneet moves out of range. Puneet fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pushkar Puneet. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hynan has taken the fight to the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Puneet pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hynan closes the distance and pushes Puneet back into the cage. Puneet wants to break free but Hynan has control.
Puneet escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hynan drives through with a takedown into Puneet's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hynan trying to control but Puneet is working from the bottom. Hynan passes into half guard. Puneet is breathing heavily. Puneet is trying to stand up here but Hynan is controlling him well. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hynan is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Puneet doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hynan. Hynan is working for a submission of some sort.

Hynan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Puneet's guard. Hynan throws a big elbow that misses. Hynan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Puneet is just riding it out for now. Hynan eventually gives up the hold. Hynan seems to be looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hynan is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Puneet is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Simon Hynan! In his post fight interview, Simon Hynan started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
