Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dante Xylar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robin Clint (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dante Xylar looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dante Xylar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Robin Clint! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Xylar wants to clinch and Clint counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Clint. Clint is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Xylar stalling in the clinch but Clint improves position. Clint has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Xylar after a bit of a struggle. Clint lands with a right to the head. Clint wants to take the fight to the mat but Xylar manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Clint works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Clint controlling from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Clint stands up from guard. Let's bang! Clint darts in and clinches Xylar up against the cage. Clint drops down looking for an ankle pick but Xylar pulls his leg out and moves away.
Dante Xylar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robin Clint. Clint clinches with his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. A frustrated look appears on Clint's face as he tries to break the clinch. Clint is looking for a takedown. Clint manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Clint is pulling down on Xylar's head. It's preventing any offense from Xylar, at least for the moment. Clint is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Xylar is aware though and is defending well. Clint has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Xylar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Clint has his foot on Xylar's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Xylar works his way back into a safe position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Clint is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Clint uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Clint swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Xylar counters with a big head kick but Clint shrugs it off. Xylar throws a head kick but Clint moves out of range.
Xylar is breathing heavily. Xylar throws a body punch but Clint moves out of range. Xylar looks for a takedown but Clint sprawls well. Clint lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Clint throws a series of punches but Xylar avoids them all with ease. Clint stalks Xylar and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Xylar's face. Xylar staggers backwards, shaken. Clint instigates a clinch. Clint is trying to trip Xylar. He has hold of a leg but Xylar is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Clint persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Xylar working a defensive guard here.
Clint missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Clint's corner is telling him to maintain position. Clint decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Clint moves into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Clint jumps into guard, dragging Xylar to the mat.
Clint is adopting a defensive guard. Clint has his foot on Xylar's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Xylar works his way back into a safe position though. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Clint has Xylar pulled in close to control his posture. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Robin Clint dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Xylar gets tackled into the cage by Clint. Clint maintains the clinch. Clint lands an uppercut. Xylar is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Clint has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Xylar after a bit of a struggle. Clint pulls guard. Xylar has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Clint manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Xylar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Clint on the ground. Clint takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Clint has hold of Xylar's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Xylar manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
That's one minute gone in the round. Xylar avoids a series of strikes thrown by Clint.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Clint throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Clint misses with a head shot. Clint looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Clint looking to secure an arm triangle but Xylar defends it well. Clint throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Xylar because Clint loaded up on that one.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Clint looking to control and managing it successfully. Clint stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Clint gets in close and instigates a clinch. Clint avoids the elbow strike from Xylar, against the cage.
Clint's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Clint closes the distance and clinches. Clint tries to break the clinch but Xylar is controlling the position. Xylar tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Clint just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Xylar is pressed up against the cage. Clint has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Xylar down to the mat. Xylar avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Robin Clint is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Clint will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Clint clinches up against the cage. Clint jumps guard and drags Xylar to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Clint is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Xylar is aware though and is defending well. Clint is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Xylar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Xylar might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Clint had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Xylar defends it easily. Clint has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Xylar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Clint has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Clint has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Clint looking to hit a scissor sweep but Xylar is one step ahead there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Robin Clint showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Robin Clint seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Clint manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Clint working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Xylar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Xylar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Clint managing to control the position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Robin Clint wasn't active enough on the ground. Xylar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Clint as he avoids it easily. Clint fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Clint is trying to drag Xylar to the mat but Xylar just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Clint goes for a takedown in the clinch but Xylar prevents it.
Xylar looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Clint tries to score a body lock takedown but Xylar shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Dante Xylar has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Robin Clint is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Xylar lands on the inside with an uppercut.
And that's the end of the fight! Robin Clint comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Clint has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
