Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brian Lowrow! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bob Laskownik! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lowrow shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Laskownik's guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Lowrow gets to his feet - Laskownik follows without any prompting. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Laskownik. Lowrow swats away the attempt to clinch by Laskownik. Lowrow circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lowrow wants to clinch and Laskownik counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lowrow makes his way to full guard, as Laskownik worked for a kimura.

Lowrow lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Laskownik! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lowrow wants to control the action but instead Laskownik gets a body lock and reverses into Lowrow's guard! Nice work!

Lowrow had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Laskownik defends it easily. Laskownik throws a big elbow that misses. Lowrow bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Laskownik's guard. Lowrow cracks Laskownik with a solid left hand. Lowrow trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lowrow trying to control but Laskownik is working from the bottom. Lowrow looking to sit in guard and control but Laskownik gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lowrow pulls Laskownik in close to prevent any damage. Laskownik wants to control from the top but Lowrow keeps moving. Lowrow wants to sweep but no luck. Laskownik advances position into side control! Laskownik misses with the ground and pound.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Laskownik is trying to get an arm triangle but Lowrow is defending well. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Laskownik is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lowrow has escaped the position, nice work there.

Lowrow is keeping the position for now. Laskownik trying to control the position from guard on top but Lowrow is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Laskownik postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Brian Lowrow will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Laskownik tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lowrow sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Laskownik somewhat. Laskownik throws a nice looking combination but Lowrow bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Laskownik moves into the clinch. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lowrow manages to break the clinch.

Laskownik wants to control for a moment but Lowrow uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Laskownik works his way into side control. Lowrow is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Lowrow manages to get back to half guard. Lowrow is trying to stand.
Laskownik is looking to take a break and control but Lowrow is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Laskownik frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Lowrow blocking the ground and pound. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Laskownik prevents Lowrow from getting the reversal. Laskownik can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lowrow is looking to escape. Lowrow is desperately trying to improve his position but Laskownik has a good base and remains in mount. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lowrow wants to hold on but Laskownik pushes him away. Laskownik tries to control but Lowrow wriggling away. Laskownik looking to ground and pound but Lowrow is blocking nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brian Lowrow dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
A looping hook to the body misses from Laskownik. Lowrow does a little dance to reset his feet. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Lowrow lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Laskownik has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Laskownik and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Lowrow slaps away a takedown attempt from Laskownik, before circling back to the center of the mat. Laskownik tries a head kick but it misses.
Lowrow feints and as Laskownik raises his hands in defense, Lowrow changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Laskownik is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Lowrow wants a takedown.
Lowrow is looking to break free of the clinch but Laskownik has double underhooks. Lowrow trying to land knees to the body.
Lowrow is trying to pull guard but Laskownik turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Laskownik gets control of Lowrow's arms and successfully pulls guard. Laskownik will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Lowrow wants to control from the top but Laskownik keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lowrow postures up and lands a big shot to Laskownik's brow. Lowrow postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Brian Lowrow wasn't doing enough on the ground. Laskownik throws a right and a left that Lowrow avoids nicely. Brian Lowrow has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Lowrow gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Laskownik to score an easy takedown into full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Laskownik has gone for a leg lock! Lowrow slips out almost immediately though and dives into Laskownik's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Bob Laskownik. Well Lowrow has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
