The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by O Toole or perhaps it was just good defense by Hansen which made him look bad.
O Toole uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hansen.
Hansen misses with the combination.
O Toole blocks a head kick by Hansen.
Nice takedown defense from Hansen. No joy for O Toole on that attempt.
Hansen paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

O Toole is still on wobbly legs! Can Hansen finish him?

O Toole looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Hansen wants to control but O Toole is keeping busy.
O Toole is just content to waste time from the top position. Hansen takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
O Toole seems to have recovered his senses.
Hansen has a closed guard, preventing O Toole from standing up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
O Toole has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from O Toole there as he acknowledges the shot.
Hansen lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Hansen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hansen throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

O Toole shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hansen's guard.

Hansen is really struggling to control O Toole but he's trying to hold on to the position.
O Toole stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hansen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
O Toole working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hansen's head.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

O Toole feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

O Toole frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
O Toole connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

A close round but Seamus O Toole will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Hansen slow jab from O Toole misses its intended target.
Hansen lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Hansen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
O Toole looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hansen is fending him off so far but O Toole persists. Nope, Hansen circles away and we're back to standing.

O Toole gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Hansen wants to break the clinch but can't.
O Toole struggles to land a body shot inside as Hansen controls his hands.
Hansen lands a nice elbow.
O Toole on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Hansen misses with an elbow strike.
Hansen lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
O Toole drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hansen gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Joaquin Hansen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Seamus O Toole.

Hansen is pressed up against the cage. O Toole has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hansen down to the mat. Hansen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Hansen lands a with a good body shot.
Hansen feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to O Toole's calf.
O Toole has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from O Toole there as he acknowledges the shot.
Hansen steps to the side to avoid the strikes from O Toole.
Hansen throws a hook but O Toole avoids it easily.

O Toole clinches up with Hansen and pushes him back against the cage.
Hansen is trying to break free.
O Toole managing to block the knees to the body from Hansen.
O Toole can't break the clinch.
Hansen throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but O Toole blocks it with crossed arms.
O Toole jumps guard but Hansen stands there with O Toole around his waist. O Toole gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Hansen tries to land knees in the clinch but O Toole avoids the damage to the body.
Hansen is trying to maintain a safe position but O Toole gets an underhook and turns Hansen into the cage.

O Toole drags the fight down to the ground.

O Toole pushes Hansen off and scrambles back to his feet.

O Toole closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - O Toole lands in his opponent's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Joaquin Hansen will probably get the nod.

O Toole tries for a takedown but Hansen sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Hansen connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent O Toole tumbling to the canvas! Hansen pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! O Toole was done - good stoppage!
