PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Miller Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Parise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Freeman comes to the cage accompanied by Here Comes The Boom - Nelly. Jordan Parise is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Miller Freeman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jordan Parise!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parise pushes Freeman up against the cage in a clinch.
Freeman throws an elbow but it misses.
Parise dodges an elbow strike from Freeman.

Freeman successfully pulls guard.
Parise not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Freeman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Parise postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Parise trying to control but Freeman is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Freeman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jordan Parise just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Parise decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Parise manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Freeman manages to get himself to full guard.

Parise gets to his feet. Freeman looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Freeman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

Parise thows a huge punch but Freeman dodges it nicely.
Freeman is staying active underneath Parise, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Parise is taking a breather. Freeman says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Freeman had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Parise is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Freeman Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Parise's back instead.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Freeman. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
