Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marek Perepeczko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Albert Arias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marek Perepeczko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Albert Arias!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Dmitry Maklakov and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Arias fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Perepeczko sprawls well initially but Arias persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Perepeczko is trying to get back to full guard.
Perepeczko avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Arias.
Arias has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Arias moves nicely into side control.
Arias is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Perepeczko will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

It looks like Arias might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Albert Arias was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Arias tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Perepeczko swivels and escapes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Arias throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Perepeczko's waist but Perepeczko gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Arias off to one side.

Perepeczko has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Arias can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Arias has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Perepeczko clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well Arias has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
