Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Victor Conroy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Romano Schoots!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Atkins and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conroy walks into a left hand.
Schoots cracks a nice hook into Conroy's ribs.
Schoots swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Romano Schoots seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Conroy takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Conroy waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Schoots.

Conroy shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Schoots is trying to defend but Conroy finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Conroy is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Schoots defends it well.

Conroy drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Schoots manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Conroy has Schoots in his guard.
Schoots must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Schoots throws an elbow that misses. Conroy uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Schoots's guard. Nice move by Conroy!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Conroy passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Schoots trying to get back to full guard but Conroy takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
BOOM! Conroy connects with a massive shot to the dome!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Schoots is trying desperately to improve position.
Schoots has decided that throwing punches whilst being mounted is the best he can manage just now.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Schoots defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Conroy.

Conroy swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Schoots is now in Conroy's guard. A big mistake from Conroy there, giving up the dominant position!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Victor Conroy will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Conroy has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Conroy there as he acknowledges the shot.

Conroy has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Schoots after a bit of a struggle.

Conroy tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Conroy tightens his grip and picks Schoots up, before dumping him to the ground. Schoots manages to land in guard.

Romano Schoots showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Conroy tries to clinch up but Schoots circles away and keeps his distance.
Conroy throws a right hand that Schoots ducks under and follows up with a left that Schoots also avoids with ease.
Schoots jabs Conroy to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Schoots uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Conroy on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

and Schoots connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Schoots is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Conroy has hold of Schoots's hands but Schoots slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Schoots throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Victor Conroy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
