Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kova Tangis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Felix Slughterdog! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slughterdog tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Tangis manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Slughterdog shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Slughterdog tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tangis swats him away and circles back towards the center. Tangis clinches with his opponent.
Tangis gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Slughterdog tries to kick Tangis off but Tangis keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Tangis sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Slughterdog defending well though. Tangis stops Slughterdog from getting back to his feet.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tangis connects with a nice short shot to Slughterdog's temple. Tangis throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tangis sitting and controlling from the half guard. Tangis wants to pass the guard but Slughterdog is defending well. Tangis looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Slughterdog with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tangis works his foot free and advances to mount. Tangis in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Tangis has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Slughterdog keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tangis connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
It looks like Felix Slughterdog has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tangis has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Slughterdog's face.

That has opened up Felix Slughterdog's cut even more. Tangis controlling his opponent. Slughterdog is still in real trouble! Can Tangis finish him? Tangis unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Slughterdog wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Tangis celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
