Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, DepaC Pakamara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
12 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Cody Willis!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Paul Tew and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pakamara throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Pakamara dives in and scores a takedown into Willis's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Pakamara stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Willis swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Willis is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pakamara is controlling him.
Willis pushes Pakamara off and gets back to his feet.
Pakamara throws a low kick but it's checked well by Willis.
Willis looks to land a combination but Pakamara avoids it well.
Pakamara takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pakamara shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Willis pinned against the cage. Willis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Pakamara throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Willis missing with a left hand there. Pakamara was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Willis misses with a wild combination.
Pakamara looks for a takedown but Willis sprawls well.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Willis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pakamara manages to avoid it.
Pakamara avoids the body shot from Willis.
Pakamara connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Willis's hands.
Willis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Pakamara ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Willis moves away.
Willis scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Willis scores with a jab to the jaw.
Cody Willis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
A left and a right from Willis both land. Nice combination.
A nice combination there by Willis.
Pakamara is rocked!
A shot to the body from Pakamara misses
and Willis counters with a nice uppercut.
Oh Pakamara is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Willis drops Pakamara with a straight right hand, right on the button! Willis follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cody Willis!
During a confident post fight interview, Cody Willis thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
