Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
West missing with a left hand there. Gebhard was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Gebhard moves into the clinch.

West jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gebhard walks away with a smile on his face. West gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

West is trying to pull guard but Gebhard turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Dave Gebhard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamal West.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

West is refusing to be controlled, as Gebhard sits in half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gebhard connects with a nice short shot to West's temple.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Gebhard cracks West with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gebhard lands a big shot there that rocks West but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Gebhard fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
West is rocked!
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gebhard loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have West scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Gebhard land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Gebhard stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dave Gebhard!
