Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Connor Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Ochoa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kelly comes into the arena with (When) Your Middle Name Is Danger blaring out of the sound system. Ochoa is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Ice Cube - I Rep That West. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Connor Kelly! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny Ochoa! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ochoa misses with a looping right. Kelly tries to score with a low kick but Ochoa moves his leg out of the way. Ochoa throws a hook but Kelly avoids it easily. Nice body punch from Kelly. Ochoa throws a leg kick and Ochoa takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Ochoa moves into the clinch successfully.
Ochoa landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Ochoa misses with a hook to the ribs.
Kelly manages to break the clinch.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Ochoa.
Ochoa throws a leg kick and Kelly connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Kelly takes a shot right to the bread basket. A nice leg kick lands there from Kelly. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Ochoa.

Danny Ochoa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ochoa throws a low kick but it's checked well by Kelly. Kelly moves out of range of the strikes. Ochoa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ochoa throws a head kick that half lands.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Ochoa. Ochoa pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Ochoa misses with an uppercut. Ochoa misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The fighters circling - Kelly throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Ochoa tries to land a leg kick but Kelly saw it coming and moves away.

Ochoa throws a jab when Kelly was well out of range. Kelly throws a right and a left that Ochoa avoids nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ochoa throws a leg kick and Kelly counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. The fighters circle momentarily. Ochoa darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Ochoa misses with a leg kick and Kelly counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kelly seems to be working for a kimura but Ochoa defends the submission attempt. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kelly is trying to control the action in half guard but Ochoa is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Ochoa has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kelly is working away from the top position though. Kelly seems to be working for a kimura but Ochoa defends the submission attempt. Kelly trying to mount his opponent but Ochoa defends it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ochoa looking for submissions off his back. Kelly is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ochoa doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kelly. Kelly seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ochoa does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Kelly is working for a kimura but Ochoa is defending it quite comfortably.
Kelly seems to be looking for submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ochoa is looking for a sweep. Kelly is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kelly trying to control the action but Ochoa is working from the bottom. Kelly is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Ochoa is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Kelly really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ochoa really wants to buck Kelly off and get back to his feet. Kelly controlling the position easily from mount. Kelly is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Ochoa has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Ochoa! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Danny Ochoa will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Kelly misses with a straight right. Kelly connects with an inside leg kick. Ochoa throws a leg kick which misses Kelly's front leg but catches the back leg as Kelly tries to avoid it. Ochoa throws a lazy head kick and Kelly counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Kelly shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ochoa but Ochoa pushes him off and we're back to square one. Kelly takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Ochoa is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Kelly misses with a hook. Ochoa ducked under it nicely. Kelly avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Danny Ochoa seems to be getting the better of the standup. Ochoa with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
A combination from Ochoa does no damage. Ochoa misses with a body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. A solid leg kick lands there for Ochoa.
Ochoa misses with a low kick. Ochoa throws a head kick that misses. Kelly slips a jab from Ochoa. Kelly thuds a left hand into Ochoa's body. Ochoa checks a leg kick nicely. A low kick from Ochoa misses and Kelly counters with an outside leg kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Ochoa.
Kelly has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Ochoa. Kelly keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ochoa. Kelly connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Ochoa throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ochoa misses the shot to the body. Kelly swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ochoa takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Kelly scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ochoa takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Kelly tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A bone on bone clash there as Ochoa blocks the leg kick.
Kelly lands with a cross. Ochoa does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Kelly checks a leg kick nicely. Danny Ochoa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The fighters circle momentarily. Kelly darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Kelly fails with the takedown. Kelly throws a shot to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kelly throws a series of punches but Ochoa avoids them all with ease. Ochoa lands a nice hook to Kelly's body. Kelly takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Kelly throws a leg kick and Ochoa counters with an outside leg kick.
A low kick from Ochoa misses and Kelly connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Ochoa walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kelly checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Kelly is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Ochoa thumps Kelly with a low kick. Ochoa will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Ochoa takes a swing at Kelly's ribcage but misses. Kelly on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Ochoa. Ochoa obviously looking to wear him down.
Kelly with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ochoa to score with a decent uppercut. Ochoa moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ochoa throws a body punch but Kelly moves out of range. Kelly swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kelly wants to land a leg kick but Ochoa is out of range. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ochoa wants to slow Kelly down by chopping away at his legs. Ochoa lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Ochoa throws a lazy head kick and Kelly counters with a straight right hand. Kelly throws out a loose jab but Ochoa uses good head movement to avoid it. Ochoa slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Ochoa. Kelly blocks a jab. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ochoa tries to land a front kick but Kelly steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Kelly avoids the head kick by Ochoa.

Danny Ochoa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Ochoa throws a head kick that misses. Ochoa feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Kelly's calf. Ochoa throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Ochoa scores with a head kick.
Kelly takes a shot right to the bread basket. Ochoa displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kelly throws out the jab. Ochoa moves out of range as Kelly strikes. Kelly avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Kelly takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Ochoa misses with a leg kick and Kelly counters with a takedown into side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ochoa is trying to control Kelly's posture but Kelly avoids it. Kelly is looking to take a break and control but Ochoa is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ochoa sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Kelly stalling. Ochoa moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Kelly trying to control but Ochoa is working from the bottom. Kelly tries to free his leg and advance position but Ochoa is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kelly wants to control from the top but Ochoa keeps moving. Kelly passes easily into side control. Nice work. Ochoa is not content to let Kelly control the position. You can see the frustration on Ochoa's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Kelly wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ochoa, who protects the arm well. The strikes coming from Kelly are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Connor Kelly overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Ochoa sneaks back into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kelly prevents Ochoa from improving his position. Kelly trying to control from half guard but Ochoa is working away. Kelly is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Kelly wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it. Kelly will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kelly prevents Ochoa from getting the reversal. Kelly tries to control but Ochoa wriggling away. Kelly wants to control the action but instead Ochoa gets a body lock and reverses into Kelly's guard! Nice work!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ochoa tries to free his leg and advance position but Kelly is retaining full guard. Kelly controls Ochoa momentarily but Ochoa frees himself. Ochoa trying to control the position from guard on top but Kelly is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kelly kicks Ochoa off and gets to his feet. Kelly checks the leg kick nicely there.
A leg kick checked by Kelly. Kelly takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Nice takedown defense from Ochoa. No joy for Kelly on that attempt. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kelly missing with a left hand there. Ochoa was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Ochoa throws a quick inside leg kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Ochoa throws a lazy uppercut
and Ochoa takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Connor Kelly. I think Ochoa has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
