Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Campana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Freeman comes to the cage accompanied by Real American. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jonathan Paton and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freeman stuffs the takedown.
Campana loads up on a big right hand but Freeman slips the punch.
Campana misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Freeman.
Freeman fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Freeman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Campana seems a little lost for a moment, as Freeman dominates the positioning.

Campana is trying to maintain the position but Freeman is very close to passing his half guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Freeman holds on and takes a little breather.
Campana is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Campana looks to land a body kick but Freeman moved away.
Campana misses with a jab, cross combination.
Freeman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Campana throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Freeman's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Campana connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Freeman scrambles back to his feet.

Dean Campana seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Freeman is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Campana's half guard.
Freeman uses his free foot to push down on Campana's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Campana.

Freeman has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Campana's face.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
