Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Sidorenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tank S (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ivan Sidorenko has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Sidorenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tank S!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Sergei Dronov and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Sidorenko, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sidorenko lands a head shot.
A solid leg kick lands there for Sidorenko.
S avoids the head kick by Sidorenko.
Ivan Sidorenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sidorenko throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sidorenko could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Sidorenko thows a body shot but no joy.

S has taken the fight to the clinch.

Sidorenko breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

S clinches.
Sidorenko wants to break the clinch but can't.
Sidorenko wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

S turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and S manages to end up in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sidorenko is looking to regain half guard here but S keeps moving and retains side control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Sidorenko is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on S's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
S is thwarting Sidorenko's attempts to control the position.
Sidorenko is trying to stand.

S is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
S is nestled in close to Sidorenko, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Sidorenko wants to get back to full guard.
S not doing much here.

S is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Sidorenko scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but S manages to mount him!
Sidorenko is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

S get's back to his feet.
S dodges the punch combination from Sidorenko.

S moves into the clinch successfully.
S is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Sidorenko gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
S tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Sidorenko just stands there and leans against the cage.
Sidorenko wants to get back to striking at distance but S won't allow it.
Sidorenko can't break the clinch.

Sidorenko breaks from the clinch.
S keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sidorenko.
Sidorenko keeps S at a distance using the push kick.
Sidorenko is breathing heavily.
Sidorenko fails with an attempt to clinch.
S blocks a head kick by Sidorenko.
Sidorenko moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
S moves out of range as Sidorenko throws a body kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sidorenko throws a head kick but S moves out of range.
S uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sidorenko.
Sidorenko misses with a series of wild punches.
S tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
S showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Sidorenko.

S feints and as Sidorenko raises his hands in defense, S changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
S preventing the sweep.
S is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sidorenko not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
S not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Sidorenko wants to stand and escape but S is having none of it.

S stopping the sweep attempt from Sidorenko.
S sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Sidorenko working a defensive guard here.
Sidorenko keeping moving, preventing S from controlling successfully.
Sidorenko throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
S tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
A slapping body kick lands there for Sidorenko.
Sidorenko closes the distance but S moves to the side

and S counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Sidorenko trying to control but S postures up.
S passes to side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tank S dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Sidorenko misses with the combination.
Ivan Sidorenko is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sidorenko tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sidorenko throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and S counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
S with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
S is thwarting Sidorenko's attempts to control the position.
Sidorenko wants to get back to his feet.
S lands strikes from half guard.
Nice strikes from S there.
S moves into full mount! Sidorenko won't be happy about that!

S can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sidorenko is looking to escape.
S controlling the pace for now.
S trying to control but Sidorenko is having none of it.

S looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
S is breathing heavily.
S is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Sidorenko slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Sidorenko is trying to get back to full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Sidorenko is trying to stand.
S is thwarting Sidorenko's attempts to control the position.
Sidorenko wants to get back to his feet.
Sidorenko tries to roll over but S keeps him under control.

S wants to work for an arm triangle but Sidorenko is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Sidorenko is looking for a sweep. S is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

S stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Sidorenko pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ivan Sidorenko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sidorenko throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

S shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
S takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
S connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
S content just to control the position here.

S is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by S!
