PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kelvin Lora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladamir Fedotenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lora comes to the cage accompanied by indestrucatble. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Vladimir Khabensky and Sergei Dronov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fedotenko waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Lora.

Fedotenko rushes Lora and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Fedotenko tightens his grip and picks Lora up, before dumping him to the ground. Lora manages to land in guard.
Fedotenko slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fedotenko wants to control from the top but Lora keeps moving.
Lora keeping full guard, as Fedotenko tries to pass.
Lora will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Fedotenko stands up and waves to Lora to follow him.
Lora tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Horrible takedown by Lora or perhaps it was just good defense by Fedotenko which made him look bad.
Fedotenko lands a two punch combo.

It looks like Kelvin Lora has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fedotenko closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lora circles away.

and Lora counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Lora.
Lora is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Fedotenko has his foot on Lora's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lora works his way back into a safe position though.
Lora throws and elbow that misses. Fedotenko uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lora's guard. Nice move by Fedotenko!
Fedotenko tries to free his leg and advance position but Lora is retaining full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lora looking for a guillotine here but Fedotenko defends easily.
Lora really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Fedotenko decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Fedotenko bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lora's head.
Fedotenko scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Fedotenko fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lora, pushing him back against the cage.

Lora lands a body shot in the clinch.
Lora is working for takedown but Fedotenko is calmly controlling the position for now.
Lora tries to work over Fedotenko's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Lora breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lora looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Fedotenko connects with a single shot there.

so Fedotenko counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Fedotenko wants to stand and escape but instead Lora has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Lora lands a couple of elbows.
Fedotenko wants to sweep but no luck.

Fedotenko pushes Lora off and scrambles back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lora takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fedotenko moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Lora goes down! Can Fedotenko finish him!?

Fedotenko decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Fedotenko looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Lora!
Lora is squirming around, avoiding Fedotenko's attempts to control the action.
Fedotenko takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lora wants to hold on but Fedotenko pushes him away.
Fedotenko lands a big elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Kelvin Lora's cut.
That's time! Lora's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Lora misses with the combination.
Lora tries to clinch but Fedotenko moves away
and Fedotenko counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Fedotenko throws a good cross that connects.
Vladamir Fedotenko seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Lora has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Lora there as he acknowledges the shot.

Lora is rocked!
Fedotenko drops Lora with a huge uppercut! Lora drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Fedotenko is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
