Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Mauricio Rocha and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo scores with the left hand. Dos Anjos knows he should have avoided that one.
Aldo wants to clinch up but Dos Anjos keeps it at a distance.
Dos Anjos shoots for a takedown but Aldo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dos Anjos.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Aldo.
Aldo throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Aldo throws a right and a left that both miss.
Aldo misses with the combination.
Dos Anjos showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Aldo.
Aldo throws a right hand that Dos Anjos ducks under and follows up with a left that Dos Anjos also avoids with ease.
Aldo closes the distance and clinches.
Aldo manages to break the clinch.
Dos Anjos shoots in but Aldo avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Aldo leaves Dos Anjos with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Aldo tries to close the distance and clinch but Dos Anjos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Aldo looks to land a combination but Dos Anjos avoids it well.

and Aldo counters with a nice low kick that buckles Dos Anjos's knee momentarily.
Aldo doesn't manage to clinch there - Dos Anjos circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Aldo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Dos Anjos has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Aldo fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Aldo fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Dos Anjos on the side of the head.
Aldo is looking to slow Dos Anjos down with leg kicks.

Dos Anjos fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Aldo to the ground. Dos Anjos is now in Aldo's guard.

Dos Anjos passes Aldo's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Dos Anjos is looking to take a break and control but Aldo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Aldo is pressing down on Dos Anjos's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
