The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McHale swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
McHale swings for the body but Pynchon moves out of range.
Pynchon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McHale moves away.
McHale ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Pynchon leaves McHale with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
McHale scores a takedown into full mount!
McHale working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Pynchon wants to hold on but McHale pushes him away.
Pynchon is looking to get to half guard.
Pynchon slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
McHale is nestled in close to Pynchon, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
