And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

15 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joe Davola!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Steve Erwin and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davola waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Charyak.
Joe Davola seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Davola misses with a kick to the body.
Davola misses with an attempted mid kick.
Charyak misses with a hook. Davola ducked under it nicely.
Davola fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Charyak manages to avoid it.
Davola's jab looks to have found its range, popping Charyak under the eye.
Charyak is trying hard to land a takedown here. Davola sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Davola lands a head kick. Charyak smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Charyak moves out of range of the body kick.
Charyak tries to score a power double leg takedown but Davola sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Charyak somewhat.
Charyak closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Davola to the mat! Davola manages to get full guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Davola is adopting a defensive guard.

Charyak postures up.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Joe Davola hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Charyak misses with a looping right.
Davola misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Davola pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Crunch! Davola slams his shin into Charyak's torso.
Davola throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Davola tries to work over Charyak's front leg with a kick but Charyak checks it.

Charyak tried to score with a low kick but Davola checks it.
Davola throws a front kick that sends Charyak stumbling back into the cage.
Davola is looking to land body kicks.
Davola scores with a shot to the body.
Davola throws a body punch but Charyak moves out of range.

and Charyak counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Joe Davola is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Davola uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Charyak tries a low kick but Davola avoids it.
Davola fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Charyak is out of range.
Davola throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Charyak counters with a nice low kick that buckles Davola's knee momentarily.
Charyak tries a head kick but it misses.
Davola walks into a straight right hand from Charyak.
Davola is looking to land body kicks.
Charyak thuds his shin into the meat of Davola's side.
Charyak misses with a hook.
Davola throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Davola works over Charyak's head and body with a nice combination.
Davola chopping away at his opponent's legs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Charyak gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Horrible takedown by Charyak or perhaps it was just good defense by Davola which made him look bad.

Davola misses with a hook. Charyak ducked under it nicely.

Davola throws a wild body kick that Charyak sees coming a mile off.
Charyak throws a leg kick which misses Davola's front leg but catches the back leg as Davola tries to avoid it.

and Charyak cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Davola throws a nice outside leg kick.
Davola lands with a kick to the ribs.
Charyak is breathing heavily.
Charyak takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Davola fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Charyak.
Davola swings for the body but Charyak moves out of range.
Davola throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Davola connects with a single shot there.
Charyak is rocked!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Charyak tries to close the distance and clinch up but Davola swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Charyak shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Davola as he jumps to the side.
Davola keeps the fight on the outside.
Davola tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Charyak was well out of range. Poor timing from Davola.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Davola dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Charyak slips a jab from Davola.
An inside leg kick from Davola misses.
Charyak drops his hands momentarily and Davola needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Charyak just on the top of the head. Charyak drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Charyak - he's done!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Joe Davola!
