Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of New York, Marcus Tysinger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charlie Adler! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Columbo Gatti and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adler moves in looking to clinch but Tysinger pushes him off. Tysinger shoots in for a takedown but Adler shows good takedown defense. Tysinger shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Adler pinned against the cage. Adler gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Tysinger displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Adler. Tysinger misses with a wild combination.
Tysinger has taken the fight to the clinch.
Adler drags the fight down to the ground.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Adler looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Adler keeping moving, preventing Tysinger from controlling successfully. Adler had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tysinger defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tysinger works a leg free and moves into half guard. Tysinger is keen to just control but Adler is a slippery customer. Adler regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Tysinger. Tysinger looking to pass the guard. Tysinger stands up from guard. Let's bang! Tysinger shoots for a takedown but Adler saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcus Tysinger. That's going to take a lot out of him. Adler is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Adler moves into range and clinches up with Tysinger. Adler unloads a knee to the mid-section. Tysinger lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Adler wants to stall.

Adler keeps control of Tysinger as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Tysinger tries to pull guard but Adler forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Adler trying to stall but Tysinger improves his position.
Tysinger is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Adler tries to land a knee to the head but Tysinger blocks with his arms.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Adler obliges. Tysinger is breathing heavily. Tysinger takes a knee right on the jaw!
It looks like Marcus Tysinger has been cut. Nice elbow from Adler. Adler pulls Tysinger into guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Adler uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Tysinger shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Adler as he jumps to the side. Adler misses with a takedown attempt - Tysinger sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Adler fails in his attempt to clinch. Adler changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tysinger tries to avoid it but Adler manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tysinger to the ground. Tysinger escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. No luck with that takedown attempt from Tysinger. Tysinger fails with a takedown attempt. Tysinger fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Adler wants to clinch. Adler shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tysinger pinned against the cage. Tysinger gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Adler closes the distance and clinches. Adler lands an elbow just above Tysinger 's eye. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Adler gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Adler jumps guard but Tysinger turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Adler manages to pull guard.

Charlie Adler dominated that round. The cut man is working on Marcus Tysinger's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Adler fails with a takedown attempt. Adler tries to clinch and Tysinger counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Adler is positioning himself well to prevent Tysinger advancing to mount. Tysinger throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Adler to regain full guard. Tysinger trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Tysinger trying to control but Adler is working from the bottom. Adler is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tysinger is controlling him. Adler is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tysinger trying to control the position from guard on top but Adler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Marcus Tysinger wasn't doing enough on the ground. Adler gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Tysinger to score an easy takedown into full guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. Tysinger is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Tysinger drops back looking for a leg! Adler is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Adler manages to kick Tysinger off! Tysinger jumps back into Adler's guard. Tysinger drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Adler dives on top into guard. Tysinger looking for a sweep. Not yet Tysinger, not yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tysinger working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Adler has passed into half guard!
Adler wants to free his trapped foot but Tysinger is holding on for dear life with his legs. Tysinger has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Adler is working away from the top position though. Adler tries to pass to full mount but Tysinger defends it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tysinger trying to get back to full guard but Adler takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Tysinger is wriggling around trying to escape.
Tysinger is working hard here to advance position. Adler gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Adler tries to clinch but Tysinger is having none of it. Adler displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tysinger. Adler tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tysinger closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Tysinger jumps guard but Adler stands there with Tysinger around his waist. Tysinger gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Adler lands an elbow inside that Tysinger shrugs off. Tysinger fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Adler's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Adler moves in looking to clinch but Tysinger pushes him off. Tysinger stuffs the takedown attempt from Adler. Adler gets slowly back to his feet. Adler throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Tysinger fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Adler checks it well. Tysinger darts in and clinches Adler up against the cage. Adler connects with a nasty looking knee right to Tysinger's face.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcus Tysinger. That's going to take a lot out of him. Adler pushes Tysinger back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. A short body shot lands from Adler as the two fighters clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Tysinger breaks from the clinch.
Adler tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Tysinger manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Tysinger has closed the distance and engaged Adler in a clinch.

Marcus Tysinger has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. No luck for Adler with that takedown attempt. Tysinger shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Adler has an active guard here but Tysinger has managed to pass into half guard.

Tysinger is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Adler is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Tysinger wants to pass the guard but Adler is defending well. Tysinger is looking to pass Adler's guard but actually Adler recovers to full guard. Tysinger tries to free his leg and advance position but Adler is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Adler can't keep his opponent in guard - Tysinger advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Tysinger throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Tysinger thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Adler's head. Adler won't allow Tysinger to pass to mount. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tysinger is trying to work for a kimura but Adler is defending well.
Adler makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
