Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexandr Nevsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Spitteri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spitteri is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Before I Forget. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexandr Nevsky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Sean Spitteri! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Viktor Lagutenko and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spitteri throws a lazy right hand but Nevsky sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Spitteri avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Spitteri moves in looking to clinch but Nevsky pushes him off. Spitteri gets a clinch. Spitteri escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Spitteri darts in and clinches Nevsky up against the cage. Spitteri drags the fight down to the ground.
Spitteri keeping moving, preventing Nevsky from controlling successfully. Nevsky drops back looking for a leg! Spitteri is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Spitteri manages to kick Nevsky off! Nevsky jumps back into Spitteri's guard. Spitteri looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Nevsky puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Nevsky is pressing down on Spitteri's thigh, looking to free his foot. Spitteri is holding on for now. Nevsky is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spitteri looks like he's trying to stand up.
Spitteri is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Nevsky seems to be looking for submissions.
Spitteri wants to get back to his feet. Spitteri is staying active underneath Nevsky, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Nevsky looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Nevsky uses his free foot to push down on Spitteri's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Spitteri. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nevsky is working for a guillotine from mount but Spitteri frees his head quite easily.
Spitteri tries to lock up and control but Nevsky gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Nevsky throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Nevsky has hold of Spitteri's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Spitteri manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Nevsky working for a submission but Spitteri is keeping him at bay. This has been an exciting period of action! Spitteri tries to lock up and control but Nevsky gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spitteri is looking to get to half guard. Nevsky takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Nevsky goes for an armbar but Spitteri turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Spitteri. Spitteri loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nevsky is trying to keep Spitteri in close.
Nevsky avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Nevsky controls Spitteri momentarily but Spitteri frees himself. Spitteri really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nevsky. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Spitteri tries to stand but Nevsky is controlling from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spitteri is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Nevsky has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Spitteri is looking to defend but Nevsky has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Spitteri! Nevsky pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Spitteri taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Alexandr Nevsky!
