Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Martti Nakutin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Byakuya Kuchiki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Aafke Stam and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuchiki pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Kuchiki is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Nakutin's half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Nakutin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Kuchiki trying to control the action but Nakutin is working from the bottom.
Kuchiki thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Nakutin's head.
Nakutin is trying to maintain the position but Kuchiki is very close to passing his half guard.
Kuchiki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nakutin keeps working.
Kuchiki throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Kuchiki is keen to just control but Nakutin is a slippery customer.
Byakuya Kuchiki has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Nakutin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nakutin wants it to stay on the feet.
Nakutin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kuchiki.
Nakutin throws a jab when Kuchiki was well out of range.
Nakutin lands with a shot to the body.
Kuchiki tries to clinch up but Nakutin circles away and keeps his distance.

Kuchiki tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nakutin paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Nakutin counters with a good low kick that Kuchiki was not able to check.

Kuchiki throws a hook to the side of Nakutin's head but Nakutin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A nice inside leg kick there by Kuchiki. That's going to slow Nakutin down.
Byakuya Kuchiki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kuchiki throws a jab when Nakutin was well out of range.
Nakutin takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Kuchiki throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

and Nakutin counters with a left and a right that stings Kuchiki.
Nakutin misses the jab.
Kuchiki swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Nakutin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Nakutin tries to land a front kick but Kuchiki steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Kuchiki lands with a shot to the body.
Nakutin misses with a wild body shot.
Kuchiki is looking to clinch.
Nakutin blocks a head kick by Kuchiki.

Some bone on bone action there as Nakutin checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Nakutin swats away the attempt to clinch by Kuchiki.
Nakutin tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Kuchiki is able to avoid easily.

Kuchiki fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nakutin manages to avoid it.
A chopping leg kick lands by Nakutin.
Kuchiki gets a takedown into half guard.
Kuchiki trying to control the action but Nakutin is working from the bottom.
Kuchiki not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Kuchiki is looking for a kimura but Nakutin is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kuchiki to get the leverage.

Nakutin tries to kick Kuchiki off but Kuchiki keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nakutin wants to get back to full guard.
Nakutin moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Byakuya Kuchiki dominated that round.

Kuchiki takes a swing at Nakutin's ribcage but misses.
Nakutin fails to land with a series of punches.
Nakutin looks to score with a jab to the body but Kuchiki is just out of range.
Nakutin scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kuchiki doesn't seem bothered though.

Nakutin circles away from the clinch attempt.

A looping hook to the body misses from Kuchiki. Nakutin does a little dance to reset his feet.

Kuchiki throws a leg kick
and Nakutin counters with a head kick that drops Kuchiki to the mat! Kuchiki scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nakutin is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from Nakutin shuts the power down on Kuchiki. Lights out, game over! Nakutin is your winner.
