The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kondor gets caught flat footed, as Otan shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Otan shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kondor manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Kondor will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Otan has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kondor is proving hard to escape from.

Kondor has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Otan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Otan wants to get up but he can't break Kondor's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Kondor can't keep his opponent in guard - Otan advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Otan should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kondor is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Otan stalling away here and it's allowed Kondor to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Kondor pushes a forearm under Otan's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Otan is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
