Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyler Patel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Milad Yakubi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Patel might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Lupe Fiasco - The Champ Is Here. Yakubi has chosen Panjabi MC Feat. Jay Z - Beware as his entrance music. Kyler Patel has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yuuki Gou and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patel scores with a shot to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Patel looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Patel forces Yakubi back against the cage and clinches.
Yakubi tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Patel breaks the clinch.
Yakubi fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Patel sprawls well initially but Yakubi persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Yakubi stops Patel from getting back to his feet.
Patel wants to control but Yakubi is keeping busy.

Patel tries to roll over but Yakubi keeps him under control.
Patel knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Yakubi on the ground.

Yakubi is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Milad Yakubi hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Yakubi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Patel has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Patel lands with a nice body punch.
Yakubi throws a hook but Patel blocks it.
Patel tries to clinch but Yakubi is having none of it.
Yakubi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Patel moves away.

Yakubi throws a right and a left that both miss.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Patel gets caught flat footed, as Yakubi shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Yakubi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Patel swivels though and keeps the full guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Patel is on top in guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Yakubi is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Patel tries to stand but Yakubi is controlling from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
