Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Michael Patton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sir Blocko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patton comes to the cage accompanied by Zatox and Tatanka - Kickin Ass. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blocko misses with an uppercut.

Patton throws out a loose jab but Blocko uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Blocko counters with a nice uppercut.
Patton swings for the body but Blocko moves out of range.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Patton, right into the meat.
Blocko closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Blocko wants to pass to mount but Patton is defending the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Blocko with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Patton to score with a decent uppercut.
Blocko stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Sir Blocko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Blocko throws a combination. Patton tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Blocko throws a low kick but it's checked well by Patton.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
