Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frank Alexander! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mitchell Lamzak! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alexander blocks a head kick by Lamzak.
A nice inside leg kick there by Lamzak. That's going to slow Alexander down. Lamzak tries to bum rush Alexander with a series of wild strikes but Alexander uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Lamzak will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Alexander displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lamzak throws out the jab. Lamzak throws a head kick but Alexander moves out of range.
No joy there for Lamzak, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Alexander tries for a takedown but Lamzak circles away easily and Lamzak counters with a good low kick that Alexander was not able to check. Alexander slips a jab and a cross from Lamzak.

and Alexander counters with a nice double leg into guard. Alexander slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Alexander drops back looking for a leg! Lamzak is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lamzak manages to kick Alexander off! Alexander jumps back into Lamzak's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alexander throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lamzak works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lamzak is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Alexander drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Alexander jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Alexander works over Lamzak with some ground and pound from guard. Alexander is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Alexander throws a big elbow that misses. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Alexander has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Alexander throws a big right hand that misses. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lamzak tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Alexander fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Alexander. That's going to take a lot out of him. Alexander blocks a head kick by Lamzak.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Alexander dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Lamzak tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Lamzak lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Lamzak shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Alexander eats them both and turns towards Lamzak to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Alexander gets a takedown into half guard. Alexander is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Alexander is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Lamzak defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Alexander. Alexander moves to the back. Frank Alexander overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alexander is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Lamzak has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Alexander has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Lamzak taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Alexander doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Frank Alexander!
