Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Connor Kosasih (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yukinari Tamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Connor Kosasih! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yukinari Tamura! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tamura blocks a head kick by Kosasih.
Tamura on the wrong end of a nice jab. Kosasih looks for a takedown but Tamura sprawls well. Tamura avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kosasih tries for a takedown but Tamura sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Tamura shoots in for a takedown but Kosasih shows good takedown defense. Tamura misses with a kick to the body.
Kosasih tries for a takedown but Tamura circles away easily and Tamura counters by clinching up. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Connor Kosasih. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tamura drags the fight down to the ground.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Tamura looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Kosasih passes into half guard.
Tamura flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tamura trying to control but Kosasih postures up.
Tamura moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Tamura wants to sweep but no luck. Kosasih has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Tamura is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kosasih is aware though and is defending well. Kosasih throwing strikes from guard but Tamura blocks nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kosasih trying to control the position from guard on top but Tamura is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kosasih missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tamura can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Tamura holds on and takes a little breather. Let's hope that Tamura has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Kosasih trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Kosasih lunges at Tamura with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Tamura's hand. Kosasih shoots in and drives through. Tamura sprawls well. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tamura misses with a wild body shot. Kosasih gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Tamura stands up from Kosasih's guard - Tamura perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kosasih throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tamura's waist but Tamura gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kosasih off to one side. Kosasih is breathing heavily. Tamura throws a right and a left that Kosasih avoids nicely. Tamura gets a clinch. Kosasih pulls guard successfully.
Tamura engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Tamura gets to his feet. Kosasih looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Kosasih shoots in looking for a takedown but Tamura manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kosasih's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kosasih tries to keep at a distance but Tamura has taken the fight into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tamura throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Kosasih fails to pull the fight into his guard.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Tamura manages to pull guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Tamura pulls Kosasih in close to prevent any damage. Tamura wriggles free and stands up. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kosasih avoids the head kick by Tamura.
Tamura fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kosasih, pushing him back against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yukinari Tamura dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Tamura shoots in and gets a takedown into Kosasih's guard. Kosasih utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kosasih is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tamura is controlling him. Tamura stands up from Kosasih's guard - Tamura perhaps looking for a knockout. Kosasih misses with a takedown attempt and Tamura counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kosasih's guard now. Kosasih knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tamura on the ground. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tamura stands and steps away. Kosasih gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Tamura has closed the distance and engaged Kosasih in a clinch.
Tamura has Kosasih pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Tamura pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Kosasih tumbling to the mat - Tamura dives into Kosasih's guard. Tamura slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tamura is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Tamura is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Kosasih can't keep his opponent in guard - Tamura advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Tamura seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Kosasih is looking to improve his position.
Well, if Tamura is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Yukinari Tamura. Tamura fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kosasih, pushing him back against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tamura with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Tamura has clasped his hands together around Kosasih's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Tamura happy to just control the position for now. Kosasih tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tamura wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Tamura in side control, just content to control the action for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Yukinari Tamura wasn't active enough on the ground. Kosasih slaps away a takedown attempt from Tamura, before circling back to the center of the mat. Kosasih tries to clinch but Tamura is having none of it. Tamura forces Kosasih back against the cage and clinches. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kosasih pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Tamura fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kosasih to the ground. Tamura is now in Kosasih's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tamura is stalling in the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yukinari Tamura showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Kosasih will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Tamura pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tamura displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kosasih. Crunch! Kosasih slams his shin into Tamura's torso. Tamura misses with a takedown attempt - Kosasih sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Kosasih throws a low kick, looking for Tamura's leg but Tamura calmly moves out of range. Tamura gets in close and instigates a clinch. Tamura gets underhooks to prevent Kosasih's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Connor Kosasih. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kosasih is trying to pull guard but Tamura turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kosasih jumps guard but Tamura stands there with Kosasih around his waist. Kosasih gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Tamura successfully pulls guard.
Tamura has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kosasih trying to control but Tamura is working from the bottom. Tamura pushes Kosasih off and gets back to his feet.
Kosasih shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tamura as he jumps to the side. Tamura changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kosasih looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Kosasih is letting Tamura control him for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tamura connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Kosasih some visible discomfort.
Tamura has an Americana. Kosasih didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Tamura is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Tamura hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Yukinari Tamura!
