Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alex Mason!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Major Lazer!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mason displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lazer throws out the jab.

Lazer seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Lazer is working Mason over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lazer connects with a nice short shot to Mason's temple.

Mason has hold of Lazer's hands but Lazer slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Lazer lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Lazer is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mason is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Lazer lands a few punches from side control.
Lazer remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Mason is trying to get back to half guard.

Lazer postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Mason in real trouble here! The ref calls for Mason to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Our winner, Major Lazer, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
