Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Milo Winner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fredrick Wulfsburgh! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wulfsburgh throws a right hand that Winner ducks under and follows up with a left that Winner also avoids with ease. Wulfsburgh throws a hook but Winner avoids it easily. Jab, jab by Wulfsburgh - just one landing. Winner's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Wulfsburgh connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Winner scrambles back to his feet. Winner ducks under a wild hook from Wulfsburgh. Wulfsburgh misses with a body shot.
Wulfsburgh thows a body shot but no joy. Wulfsburgh misses with a wild body shot. Wulfsburgh's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Wulfsburgh duly obliges. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wulfsburgh misses the shot to the body. Winner ducks under a wild hook from Wulfsburgh.
That's one minute gone in the round. Winner fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Wulfsburgh misses with a low kick. Wulfsburgh throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Wulfsburgh throws a push kick but Winner slaps the foot to one side. No luck for Winner with that takedown attempt. Wulfsburgh rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Winner counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wulfsburgh won't be happy with that. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Wulfsburgh gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Winner postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Wulfsburgh looks a forlorn figure.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Winner tries to control but Wulfsburgh wriggling away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Winner looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Winner with good strikes from the mount here! Winner wants to control the pace but Wulfsburgh is squirming around nicely. Winner working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Wulfsburgh looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Winner! Submission of the night perhaps?
