Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Waddell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bakow Boran!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boran scores with a nice body kick.
Boran throws a solid leg kick but Waddell takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Boran.
Boran swings for the body but Waddell moves out of range.
Michael Waddell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Waddell ducks under a wild hook from Boran.
Boran fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Boran changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Waddell tries to avoid it but Boran manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Waddell to the ground. Waddell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Boran slips a jab from Waddell.
Waddell looks to score with a jab to the body but Boran is just out of range.
A telegraphed right hand from Waddell misses the target.

Waddell drives through and clinches with Boran against the cage.
Boran lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Waddell works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Waddell stopping the sweep attempt from Boran.
Waddell trying to control but Boran is working from the bottom.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Boran preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Waddell throwing strikes but missing.
Boran keeping moving, preventing Waddell from controlling successfully.
Waddell tries to free his leg and advance position but Boran is retaining full guard.
Waddell postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boran keeping full guard, as Waddell tries to pass.
Waddell throws an elbow that misses. Boran uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Waddell's guard. Nice move by Boran!
Waddell lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Boran!
Waddell has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Waddell misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Waddell is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Waddell drops a big elbow. That's hurt Boran! More shots from Waddell and the ref steps in! The fight is over!

After winning the bout, Michael Waddell thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
