Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Buffet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Buffet might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Margaritaville. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jimmy Buffet! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Fedor Emelianenko! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crunch! Buffet slams his shin into Emelianenko's torso. Buffet scores with a punch to the head. Buffet throws a solid leg kick but Emelianenko takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Buffet. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Buffet. Emelianenko slips a jab and a cross from Buffet.
Emelianenko cracks a nice hook into Buffet's ribs. Jab by Buffet. Buffet throws a right hand that misses
and Emelianenko connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Buffet throws a low kick, looking for Emelianenko's leg but Emelianenko calmly moves out of range. Emelianenko keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Buffet throws a sloppy head kick and Emelianenko counters with a nice body shot. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Buffet pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Emelianenko throws a lazy right hand but Buffet sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Buffet moves into the clinch successfully.
Emelianenko swings wildly with an uppercut but Buffet uses good head movement to avoid it. Buffet dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Emelianenko blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buffet pulls guard. Emelianenko slips nicely into half guard. Emelianenko is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Buffet defends it well. Emelianenko seems to be working for a kimura but Buffet defends the submission attempt. Emelianenko prevents Buffet from improving his position. Emelianenko wants to work for an arm triangle but Buffet is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Buffet actively working from the bottom here. Buffet has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Emelianenko is working away from the top position though.

Emelianenko is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Buffet is just riding it out for now. Emelianenko eventually gives up the hold. Buffet is looking to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Buffet controls Emelianenko momentarily but Emelianenko frees himself. Emelianenko trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Emelianenko is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Buffet is looking to sinch up a triangle. Emelianenko throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Buffet's body to avoid the submission. Buffet has instead reached around Emelianenko's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Buffet arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
