Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Pauling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis's entrance music is The End- The Doors. A fine choice. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dan Davis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Daniel Pauling! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pauling gets the takedown into side control. Pauling is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Davis is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Pauling is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Davis knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pauling tries for a kimura but Davis is defending well. Davis stops Pauling from passing to mount. Davis wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Pauling is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Pauling is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Pauling tries to free his leg and advance position but Davis is retaining full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Pauling shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Pauling stands and throws Davis's legs to the side, diving into side control. Pauling is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Davis knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Pauling tries for a kimura but Davis is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Davis rushes Pauling and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Pauling dodges an elbow strike from Davis.

Davis tries to close the distance and clinch but Pauling swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Pauling fails to land with a series of punches.
Davis blocks a jab. Davis shoots for a takedown but Pauling saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. A nice leg kick lands there from Pauling. Pauling misses with a few strikes there.
No luck for Pauling with that takedown attempt. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pauling misses with a jab, cross combination.

That's one minute gone in the round. Pauling takes a swing at Davis's ribcage but misses. Pauling moves into the clinch. Davis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Pauling misses with a double jab.
Davis tries to clinch up and Pauling cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Davis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pauling tries to avoid it but Davis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pauling to the ground. Pauling escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Davis throws a head kick but Pauling moves out of range.
Davis closes the distance and clinches. Pauling dodges an elbow strike from Davis.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Davis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Davis prevents Pauling from breaking the clinch. Davis throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
With the fighters up against the cage, Davis throws an elbow but misses. Davis throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Pauling blocks it with crossed arms. Davis lands a damaging elbow.
It looks like Daniel Pauling has been cut. Pauling tries to pull guard but Davis holds him up against the cage and eventually Pauling drops back down to his feet.
Davis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Davis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Davis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Davis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pauling misses with a few strikes there.

Pauling scores with a hook to the body. Davis takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Davis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Davis moves into the clinch successfully.
Davis misses with a knee to the head. Davis connects with a nasty looking knee right to Pauling's face.

Pauling gets the takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pauling goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Davis has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Pauling but great work by Davis. Pauling tries to improve position but can't. Pauling is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Davis prevents Pauling from improving his position. Davis seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Davis is taking a breather. Pauling says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pauling is staying active underneath Davis, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Pauling wants to get back to full guard but Davis has mounted him! Davis content just to control the position here. Pauling is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Davis throws a head kick that misses and Pauling counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Davis's guard now. Pauling trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Davis manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Davis has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Davis trying to control the position from guard on top but Pauling is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Davis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Davis manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Pauling working for submissions but it's allowed Davis to get to half guard.
Pauling is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Davis jumps into side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Pauling looking for a sweep but Davis has passed into full mount! Oh no! Pauling is trying to escape the mount.
Dan Davis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Pauling is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
And that's the end of the fight! Daniel Pauling comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Pauling winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
