Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dean Corcoran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinya Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Corcoran comes to the cage accompanied by Lonely Boy. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dean Corcoran! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinya Aoki! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aoki instigates a clinch. Corcoran is working for takedown but Aoki is calmly controlling the position for now. Corcoran lands an elbow inside that Aoki shrugs off. Aoki wants to break free but Corcoran has control.
Aoki wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Aoki is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Corcoran manages to break the clinch.
Aoki closes the distance but Corcoran moves to the side and Corcoran counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Corcoran is trying to work for a kimura but Aoki is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round. Aoki on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Aoki is looking to control Corcoran's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Aoki avoid being mounted? Aoki tries to get to full guard but Corcoran has control of the leg. Corcoran wants to stand but Aoki has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Aoki keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Corcoran content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Aoki doesn't manage to clinch there - Corcoran circles away.
Aoki misses the shot to the body. Corcoran shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Corcoran was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Aoki wants to get back to his feet.
Corcoran throws a wild left hand from mount and Aoki manages to wriggle his way back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Corcoran with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Corcoran is looking for a kimura but Aoki is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Corcoran to get the leverage. Aoki is looking to escape. Aoki is looking to control Corcoran's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Aoki avoid being mounted? Corcoran is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Aoki is pressing down on Corcoran's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aoki looking for a guillotine here but Corcoran defends easily.
Aoki is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Corcoran knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Aoki on the ground. Corcoran controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Corcoranis looking to pass into half guard but Aoki pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Aoki is in guard. Corcoran escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Aoki gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Aoki decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Corcoran tries to clinch up but Aoki circles away and keeps his distance. Corcoran fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Corcoran clinches up against the cage. Aoki wants the takedown. Corcoran is fighting it off but Aoki persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Corcoran's guard against the cage. Aoki landing with the ground and pound.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Corcoran looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Aoki puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Corcoran misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Aoki perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Corcoran looking for submissions off his back. Aoki seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Aoki wants to free his trapped foot but Corcoran is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Corcoran is trying to get back to full guard. Aoki moves nicely into side control. Aoki thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. You can see the frustration on Corcoran's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Corcoran is being controlled here.

Corcoran tries to hold on but Aoki pushes him away. Aoki working the ground and pound effectively.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Aoki trying to control but Corcoran is having none of it. Corcoran taking shots to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shinya Aoki dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Aoki closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Aoki lands in his opponent's guard. Corcoran is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Aoki gets to his feet - Corcoran follows without any prompting. Corcoran tries to clinch up but Aoki circles away and keeps his distance. Corcoran swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aoki moves in looking to clinch but Corcoran pushes him off. Corcoran doesn't succeed with the takedown and Aoki counters with a three punch combo that has Corcoran backing up. Corcoran nods at Aoki to acknowledge the strikes. Corcoran gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Aoki to score an easy takedown into full guard. Corcoran wants to control but Aoki passes easily into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Aoki keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Aoki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Corcoran keeps working. Aoki trying to control the pace.

He lands a short punch in the meantime. Aoki passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Corcoran! Corcoran sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Aoki throws a strike but Corcoran avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Aoki stands up and waves to Corcoran to follow him. Corcoran manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Aoki on his heels. He'll look to pass Aoki's guard now, I'm sure. Aoki bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Corcoran's guard. Corcoran working a defensive guard here.
Corcoran has his foot on Aoki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Aoki works his way back into a safe position though. Aoki works a leg free and moves into half guard. Aoki is taking a breather. Corcoran says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Aoki wants to control but Corcoran is keeping him busy.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Aoki sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Corcoran defending well though. Aoki seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Corcoran is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
