Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luiz Ara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Tokill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Luiz Ara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Tokill!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Konstantin Menshow and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tokill closes the distance and clinches.
Ara drops down looking for an ankle pick but Tokill pulls his leg out and moves away.

Tokill drives through and clinches with Ara against the cage.
Ara has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Tokill avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Ara tries for a takedown but Tokill manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luiz Ara. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ara can't get the takedown.
Tokill digs a right hand into Ara's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Ara's gas tank.

Tokill breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ara tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tokill sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ara somewhat.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tokill is defended easily by Ara.

Tokill pulls guard successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Ara trying to control the position from guard on top but Tokill is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Tokill is pulling down on Ara's head to control his posture.

Ara stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tokill swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Luiz Ara.

Tokill escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ara gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Ara wants to control from the top but Tokill keeps moving.

Tokill has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Tokill can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ara controls the pace.
Ara wants to control from the top but Tokill keeps moving.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Tokill closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Ara tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tokill wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Tokill is looking to take a break and control but Ara is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Tokill thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ara's head.

Ivan Tokill showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Tokill closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ara's guard.

Ara utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Ara has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Tokill has passed into side control.

Tokill is putting a hurting on Ara here, landing some big shots from side control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Tokill drives through with a takedown into Ara's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Well Tokill has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
