Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Renato Sobral! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Curtis Ogelsby! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Mauricio Rocha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ogelsby scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Curtis Ogelsby has been cut. Sobral ducks right into an uppercut from Ogelsby. Ogelsby fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ogelsby misses with a takedown attempt - Sobral sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Sobral throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ogelsby. Sobral throws a left and a right that both miss
and Ogelsby counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Ogelsby lands a jab-cross combination.
It looks like Renato Sobral has been cut. Ogelsby throws a nice outside leg kick. A combination from Sobral does no damage. Sloppy strikes from Ogelsby. Those never looked like landing.

and Ogelsby counters with a straight right hand. Sobral ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ogelsby moves away. Sobral will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sobral tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ogelsby manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Ogelsby looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Sobral lands a really nice looking cross but Ogelsby seems unphased.
Ogelsby throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Sobral takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ogelsby throws a series of punches but Sobral moves out of range. Ogelsby scores with a decent looking hook. Sobral throws a leg kick that is checked and Ogelsby counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Ogelsby swinging wildly here.

Sobral throws a lazy head kick so Ogelsby counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Ogelsby sitting in guard here, content to control. Ogelsby pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sobral is keeping the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sobral is looking to stand up but Ogelsby isn't so interested in that idea. Ogelsby is stalling in the full guard. Sobral has his feet on Ogelsby's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Sobral throws a wild body kick that Ogelsby sees coming a mile off. Ogelsby throws a right hand that Sobral ducks under and follows up with a left that Sobral also avoids with ease. Sobral avoids a punch combination nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Sobral lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ogelsby circles away quickly and effectively. Sobral misses with a combination
and Ogelsby counters with a good low kick that Sobral was not able to check. Sobral tries a head kick but it misses.
Sobral gets tackled into the cage by Ogelsby. Ogelsby maintains the clinch. Ogelsby manages to break the clinch.
Sobral scores with a jab to the jaw. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sobral tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Ogelsby misses with a double jab
and Sobral cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Curtis Ogelsby will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Sobral throws a nice looking combination but Ogelsby bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Ogelsby pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Renato Sobral is winning the standup battle so far. Ogelsby will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ogelsby, as that shot connected.
Ogelsby changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sobral looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Ogelsby is staying tight to Sobral's torso, preventing him from escaping. Ogelsby grinds an elbow into Sobral's temple. Ogelsby is staying tight to Sobral's torso, preventing him from escaping. That's one minute gone in the round. Sobral is being controlled here. Sobral defending against the ground and pound. Ogelsby staying calm. Sobral is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Ogelsby is controlling him well. Ogelsby postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ogelsby swings around for an armbar but Sobral sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Ogelsby's guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Ogelsby trying to control the position here.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Curtis Ogelsby. Ogelsby feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Sobral's calf. Ogelsby falls off balance throwing a combination
and Sobral counters with a lovely shot to the body. Ogelsby walks into a left hand. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ogelsby takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Nice sprawl there from Sobral as Ogelsby shoots in. Ogelsby takes a body punch but keeps moving. Ogelsby is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sobral throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ogelsby falls off balance throwing a combination
and Sobral counters with a head kick that wobbles Ogelsby - left then right he sways and one more bomb from Sobral sends him down. This one is all over!
