The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chernov avoids a kick to the body.
Maoki throws a series of punches but Chernov avoids them all with ease.
Jab, jab by Maoki - just one landing.
Maoki displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Chernov.
Maoki slaps away a takedown attempt from Chernov, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Chernov tries for a takedown but Maoki circles away easily
and Maoki cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Post fight, Ming Maoki took to the microphone: 'I apologize to my fans. I was so close to another title fight but fell short. I am training to get back to the top again though.'.
