Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between George Stellben (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cole Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, George Stellben! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cole Foster! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stellben shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Foster defends it nicely. Stellben tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Foster manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Foster instigates a clinch. Foster is pressed up against the cage. Stellben has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Foster down to the mat. Foster avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Stellben lands a jab. A chopping leg kick lands by Foster. Foster lands a two punch combo.
Foster tries a head kick but it misses.
Foster throws a head kick that misses. Foster is looking to score with low kicks. Foster drives through and clinches with Stellben against the cage.
Stellben is trying to force a seperation but Foster has the dominant position. Stellben drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Foster gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Stellben. That's going to take a lot out of him. Foster manages to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Foster throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Foster forces Stellben back against the cage and clinches. Stellben is trying to pull guard but Foster has him pressed against the cage. Foster is struggling to control the position. Stellben fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Foster working hard to break the clinch. Stellben's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Stellben will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Foster lands a jab-cross combination. Stellben misses with a takedown and Foster counters with an inside leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stellben avoids a punch combination nicely.
Foster gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Stellben to score an easy takedown into full guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Foster is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Stellben is controlling him. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Stellben scoring with some ground and pound. Stellben stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Foster swivels though and keeps the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stellben throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Foster works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Stellben chips away with some ground and pound. Foster working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Stellben.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stellben postures up.
Stellben is looking to work some ground and pound but Foster has wrist control. Stellben tries to free his leg and advance position but Foster is retaining full guard. Foster not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Foster looking to hit a scissor sweep but Stellben is one step ahead there. Stellben with a flurry of punches that miss. Stellben working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Stellben throwing strikes but missing. Foster controls Stellben momentarily but Stellben frees himself. Foster wants to get back to his feet but Stellben is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Foster can't keep his opponent in guard - Stellben advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Stellben seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Stellben is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Stellben scoring with strikes to the body and head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Foster has hold of Stellben's hands but Stellben slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Stellben trying to control the pace. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Stellben connects with a nice short shot to Foster's temple. Stellben trying to control from half guard but Foster is working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
George Stellben dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!

Foster moves into the clinch successfully.
Foster pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Stellben fails with the takedown and Foster counters with a big head kick but Stellben shrugs it off. Foster closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Foster breaks from the clinch.
Foster keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Foster closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Foster can't break the clinch.
Foster wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stellben looks to throw an elbow but misses. Foster is trying to break the clinch but Stellben has him pressed against the cage. Stellben jumps guard but Foster turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Stellben. That's going to take a lot out of him. Foster breaks from the clinch.
Foster stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Foster wants it to stay on the feet. Stellben drives through and clinches with Foster against the cage.
Stellben changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Foster fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Stellben drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Stellben has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Stellben lands some shots froms side control. Foster wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stellben tries to score with some ground and pound. Foster controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Foster is looking to reverse the position. Stellben landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Stellben fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Foster manages to work his way to half guard, despite Stellben's best efforts. Stellben drops an elbow to the side of Foster's head. Stellben has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. BOOM! Stellben connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Foster is rocked! Stellben lands a heavy elbow. Foster is still in real trouble! Can Stellben finish him? Stellben postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Foster looks a forlorn figure.
Foster really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stellben. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stellben postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Foster in real trouble here! The ref calls for Foster to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
