PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Den Den (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rex Kaizer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Den Den!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rex Kaizer!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Leandro Rodrigues and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Den moves in looking to clinch but Kaizer pushes him off.
Den shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kaizer defends it nicely.
Den connects with a body shot that sends Kaizer's belly button to the back.
Kaizer cracks Den with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.


It looks like Den Den has been cut.
Kaizer throws a body punch but Den moves out of range.
Kaizer throws a right and a left that Den avoids nicely.

Den darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Den is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kaizer doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Den.
Den is looking to take a break and control but Kaizer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kaizer tries to kick Den off but Den keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Den is keen to just control but Kaizer is a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Den is really struggling to control Kaizer but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Den Den just wasn't active enough.
Den takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Den fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kaizer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The fight stays on the outside here - Den looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Den tries to close the distance and clinch but Kaizer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kaizer throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kaizer, right into the meat.
Den misses with the combination.
Kaizer goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Kaizer misses with a body kick.
Kaizer ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Den is breathing heavily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kaizer cracks Den with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Rex Kaizer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kaizer throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Den's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Kaizer dives in looking to finish as Den flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Kaizer's strikes! Kaizer is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Den's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Den was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rex Kaizer!
A very excited looking Rex Kaizer made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
