Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Wiggin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Spliff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Eddie Spliff enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andrew Wiggin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eddie Spliff!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wiggin gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Spliff has gone for a leg lock! Wiggin slips out almost immediately though and dives into Spliff's guard.

Wiggin is looking to stand up but Spliff won't let him.
Wiggin trying to control the position from guard on top but Spliff is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Spliff is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

We're going to have a standup here because Andrew Wiggin wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Spliff postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Wiggin is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Spliff, into his guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wiggin loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Spliff had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wiggin defends it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Eddie Spliff will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Wiggin just misses with a punch to the body.

Wiggin lands a big head kick that sends Spliff tumbling to the mat! Wiggin takes a step backwards and waves Spliff back to his feet - he wants the finish!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Spliff jumps guard but Wiggin stands there with Spliff around his waist. Spliff gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Spliff avoids the head kick by Wiggin.
Spliff tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wiggin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Spliff somewhat.

Spliff closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Spliff lands in his opponent's guard.

Spliff is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Wiggin is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Wiggin has escaped and now he's on top!

Wiggin is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Wiggin is pushing down on Spliff's leg trying to pass to half guard. Spliff is fighting to maintain full guard but Wiggin has managed to sneak the leg through.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Wiggin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Spliff does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Spliff fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Wiggin moves into the clinch successfully.
Spliff takes an elbow to the forehead.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Wiggin just misses with a elbow thrown towards Spliff's brow.
Spliff tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wiggin smiles and moves away.
Andrew Wiggin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eddie Spliff.
Spliff circles away from the clinch attempt.

Wiggin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Wiggin doesn't manage to clinch there - Spliff circles away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Spliff jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wiggin walks away with a smile on his face. Spliff gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Spliff counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Wiggin's guard now.

And that's the end of the fight!
