Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sean Spitteri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spitteri comes to the cage accompanied by Before I Forget. The key to victory for Sean Spitteri has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spitteri pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Spitteri fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Henderson manages to avoid it.

Henderson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Henderson trying to control but Spitteri is working from the bottom.
Henderson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Spitteri kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Don Henderson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Henderson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Spitteri's waist but Spitteri gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Henderson off to one side.

Spitteri throws a right and a left that Henderson avoids nicely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Spitteri enables Henderson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Spitteri manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Spitteri wants to stand but Henderson is controlling the position.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Spitteri drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Henderson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Spitteri has Henderson in his guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Sean Spitteri will probably get the nod.

Henderson shoots for a double leg takedown but Spitteri sprawls well. He's pushed Henderson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Henderson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Spitteri throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Henderson on the side of the head.
Henderson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Spitteri connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Henderson scrambles back to his feet.
No luck for Henderson with that takedown attempt.
