Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rhys Macquire!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Drebin!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Donald Grub and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drebin's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Drebin duly obliges.
Drebin throws a right and a left that both miss.

Drebin fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Macquire to the ground. Drebin is now in Macquire's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Drebin postures up.
Drebin showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Drebin tries to free his leg and advance position but Macquire is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Macquire throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Drebin escapes and throws Macquire's legs to the side, diving into side control!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Drebin lands some shots froms side control.
Macquire knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Drebin on the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Drebin is putting a hurting on Macquire here, landing some big shots from side control.

Drebin swings around for an armbar but Macquire sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Drebin's guard.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Drebin has eaten all the pies!
Drebin controlling the position.
Drebin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Macquire is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Macquire wants to control from the top but Drebin keeps moving.
Drebin manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Macquire manages to get himself to full guard.
Drebin lands a couple of elbows.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Macquire working a defensive guard but Drebin passes into half guard.
Drebin is controlling the pace.

Drebin is working for a kimura but Macquire is defending it quite comfortably.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Drebin controlling the action here.

Drebin is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Macquire is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Frank Drebin!
