Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Renan Ruas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vlad Stolbov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruas comes into the arena with ATB- Could you believe blaring out of the sound system. Stolbov has chosen Guano Apes - Open your eyes as his entrance music. Renan Ruas is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 13 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vlad Stolbov!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Alexandre Firmino and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruas throws a body punch but Stolbov moves out of range.
Ruas misses with a head kick.
Stolbov with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ruas to score with a decent uppercut.
Ruas lands with a shot to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from Stolbov misses the target.
Ruas throws a shot to the body.
Stolbov swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ruas counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Stolbov shoots in looking for a takedown but Ruas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Stolbov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Stolbov misses with a few strikes there.
Ruas scores with a jab to the head.
Vlad Stolbov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Stolbov looks gassed!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Stolbov scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Nice body kick from Ruas.
Stolbov takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Ruas takes the fight into the clinch.
Ruas tries to land a knee to the head but Stolbov blocks with his arms.

Ruas has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Stolbov regains guard immediately.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Ruas is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Renan Ruas has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Ruas moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Stolbov has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Ruas closes the distance and pushes Stolbov back into the cage.

Ruas decides to pull guard.
Stolbov trying to control but Ruas is working from the bottom.
Ruas scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ruas scores with a body shot.
Ruas connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Stolbov's hands.
Ruas clinches up with Stolbov and pushes him back against the cage.
Ruas has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Stolbov regains guard immediately.
Ruas advances position into side control!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Stolbov gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Ruas jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Stolbov manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Ruas has hold of Stolbov's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Stolbov seems comfortable defending it but Ruas has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Stolbov is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Stolbov is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Ruas couldn't care less - he's delighted!
