The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moraes avoids the head kick by Mafra.
Moraes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mafra's waist but Mafra gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Moraes off to one side.
Mafra shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mafra showed some decent athleticism there.
Moraes looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Mafra wants to work for an arm triangle but Moraes is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Moraes shoots in looking for a takedown. Mafra tries to sprawl out of it but Moraes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Mafra manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Mafra is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Moraes lets go of the hold and Mafra can pop his arm back in it's socket.
