Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 1, fighting out of New York, Agamemnon Coon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Rogers!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Russell Pearce and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Coon.
Coon misses with an uppercut.
Rogers wants to clinch up but Coon keeps it at a distance.
Good standup being displayed there by Rogers as he connects with a hook.

Coon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rogers wants to stand and escape but Coon is having none of it.

Rogers is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Rogers swings wildly with an uppercut but Coon uses good head movement to avoid it.

Coon wants the takedown. Rogers is fighting it off but Coon persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Rogers's guard against the cage.
Rogers is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Coon is controlling him.
Coon throws a big elbow that misses.
Rogers wants to stand but Coon is controlling the position.
Coon working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Coon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Coon pushing down on Rogers's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Coon thows a huge punch but Rogers dodges it nicely.

Rogers is trying to stand up here but Coon is controlling him well.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Coon throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Rogers to regain full guard.
Coon postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Coon throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Rogers wants to stand up but Coon is controlling him.

Rogers pushes Coon off and scrambles back to his feet.
Rogers moves out of range of the strikes.
Rogers swings widly with a right hand
and Coon counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Rogers thinking.
Rogers looks gassed!
A combination from Rogers does no damage.
Coon jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.


It looks like Steve Rogers has been cut.
Coon misses with a takedown attempt - Rogers sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Coon misses with a looping left.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Coon cracks Rogers with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Rogers tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Coon pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Rogers is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Agamemnon Coon!
After the fight, Agamemnon Coon was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
