Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roland Deschain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Lakanik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Deschain kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Giving In-- As made famous by Adema. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jonathan Paton and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deschain fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lakanik manages to avoid it.
Lakanik misses with a body kick.
Deschain shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Lakanik eats them both and turns towards Deschain to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
It looks like John Lakanik has been cut.
Deschain checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Deschain lands with an uppercut that bounces Lakanik off the cage and back into range.
Lakanik scores with a sloppy right hand. Deschain should have avoided that one.

Deschain throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lakanik's waist but Lakanik gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Deschain off to one side.

Lakanik uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Deschain.

Deschain shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lakanik's guard.

Lakanik takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Deschain changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lakanik looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

John Lakanik has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Deschain tries to advance to mount but Lakanik denies him.
Deschain creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Lakanik sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Deschain tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Deschain has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
