The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fertit shoots in for a takedown but Gracie shows good takedown defense.
Fertit throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gracie tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Fertit is in Gracie's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie keeping moving, preventing Fertit from controlling successfully.
Fertit looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Dante Fertit hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Fertit moves to clinch but Gracie breaks away
and Gracie counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Gracie.
Fertit wants to sweep here but Gracie controlling him for the moment.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Gracie counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Fertit got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fertit has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted.
Fertit stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Fertit has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gracie is proving hard to escape from.

Fertit stands and throws Gracie's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Gracie in particular looking to stall.

Fertit fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Gracie to the ground. Fertit is now in Gracie's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fertit stands up over Gracie, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Gracie seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Fertit tries to clinch but Gracie is having none of it.
Fertit is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gracie.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gracie connects with a nice short shot to Fertit's temple.

Fertit is refusing to be controlled, as Gracie sits in half guard.
Fertit wants to improve his position but Gracie is controlling well.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Gracie lands a nice short elbow.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Fertit changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gracie looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

That was a close second round but I would say that Coalman Gracie will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Dante Fertit has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Fertit dives in and grabs Gracie's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gracie pushes down on Fertit's head and hops out.

Dante Fertit comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Fertit has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
