Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ken Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ken Masters! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ben Peters! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peters throws a poor cross that misses
letting Masters counter with a right hand. Masters tests Peters's chin there with a solid looking shot. Some wild striking there from Peters.
Masters uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Peters.
Peters throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Masters staying out of range there. Masters walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. The fighters circling - Peters throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Peters thows a left - swing and a miss! A swing and a miss from Peters. Peters misses with an uppercut
and Masters counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Masters ducks under a wild hook from Peters. Peters throws a jab but it's blocked by Masters. Peters takes a jab right on the kisser.
This has been an exciting period of action! Masters bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Peters's head backwards.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peters misses with a double jab
and Masters counters with a three punch combo that has Peters backing up. Peters nods at Masters to acknowledge the strikes. Peters ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Masters moves away. Peters is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Peters throws a right hand that misses
and Masters counters with a straight right hand. Peters throws a looping overhand right but Masters ducks down to avoid it. Masters bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Peters's head backwards. Peters connects with the punch. Peters drops his hands momentarily and Masters takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Peters jabbing away but nothing is landing. A jab from Masters finds it's way through Peters's defenses. Ben Peters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Masters scores with a sloppy right hand. Peters should have avoided that one. This has been an exciting period of action! A jab lands there for Masters. Peters throws a jab but it's blocked by Masters. Masters throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Masters scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Peters doesn't seem bothered though. Masters moves out of range of the strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Masters getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Peters throws a hook to the side of Masters's head but Masters sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Masters slips under a jab from Peters. Masters takes one on the chin but seems OK.

It looks like Ken Masters has been cut. Peters comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Peters swings widly with a right hand
and Masters counters with a nice body shot. Masters uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Peters.
Peters might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Peters misses with the combination.
Masters slips under a jab. Peters is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peters paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Peters fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Masters manages to avoid it. Peters throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Masters lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Peters circles away quickly and effectively. A slow jab from Masters misses its intended target. Masters getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Nice defenses there by Masters. Masters's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Peters connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Masters scrambles back to his feet. Peters misses with a body shot
and Masters counters with a lovely shot to the body. Masters connects with a body shot. Masters bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Masters is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Peters misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Masters.
Masters throws a hook but Peters avoids it easily. A looping hook to the body misses from Masters. Peters does a little dance to reset his feet. Peters misses with a lunging right hand
and Masters counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Peters feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Masterss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Masters throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Masters ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Masters darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Peters misses with a straight left. Masters is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Masters throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Peters missing with a left hand there. Masters was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Peters throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Masters to counter with a crisp jab. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Masters dips to his left and cracks Peters with an uppercut! Masters fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Masters lands with an overhand left. Masters ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Peters moves away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ken Masters will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Ken Masters's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Peters has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Peters scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Masters throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Masters lands the left hand. Masters lands a jab to the head.

and Masters counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Peters uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Masters. Peters throws a jab when Masters was well out of range. Peters misses with a body shot
and Masters counters with a nice uppercut. Masters tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Peters was well out of range. Poor timing from Masters. Peters throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Masters sees it coming and avoids it easily. Masters lands a nice shot to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Masters connects with the punch. Ken Masters is winning the standup battle so far. Masters misses with a body shot.

Masters scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Peters throws a left that rocks Masters and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Peters dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Masters regain composure!
Masters is rocked! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Peters is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Masters is trying to escape and Peters transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Masters is forced to tap! Nice work there by Peters! Very nice indeed!
