Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Colin Millen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tragen Hyabusa!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Millen lands a front kick.

Hyabusa shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Millen wants to get back to full guard.

Hyabusa is working for a kimura but Millen is defending it quite comfortably.
Millen is concentrating on defense, preventing Hyabusa from advancing position.
Hyabusa tries to pass to full mount but Millen defends it.

Hyabusa is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Millen moves into full guard.
Hyabusa looking to sit in guard and control but Millen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Millen wants to control from the top but Hyabusa keeps moving.

Millen throwing strikes from guard but Hyabusa blocks nicely.
Hyabusa is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Millen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Millen wants to control the pace but Hyabusa is squirming around nicely.
Hyabusa is looking to improve his position but Millen isn't that keen on the idea.
Hyabusa is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Colin Millen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Hyabusa wants to control but Millen is having none of it.
Hyabusa tries to reverse the position but Millen maintains control.

Hyabusa is bucking up trying to escape but Millen cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Millen lands a big shot there that rocks Hyabusa but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Hyabusa wants to control but Millen is having none of it.

A nice elbow there by Millen.

Millen decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Hyabusa shoots in looking for a takedown but Millen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hyabusa's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Hyabusa closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hyabusa lands in his opponent's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hyabusa would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Millen closes the distance and pushes Hyabusa back into the cage.
Hyabusa misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Millen.
Hyabusa misses with a knee to the head.
Millen tries to pull guard but Hyabusa forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Millen takes a knee right on the jaw!
Millen is trying to maintain a safe position but Hyabusa gets an underhook and turns Millen into the cage.
Hyabusa prevents a body shot from Millen.
Millen stalling in the clinch but Hyabusa improves position.
Millen prevents Hyabusa from breaking the clinch.

Hyabusa breaks the clinch.

Hyabusa moves in looking to clinch but Millen pushes him off.
Millen throws a poor cross that misses
and Hyabusa counters with a nice body kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hyabusa crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Millen - the referee stops the clock and Hyabusa gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Millen. Hyabusa manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Hyabusa avoids the body shot from Millen.
Hyabusa scores with a one two! Millen had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Millen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hyabusa was well out of range. Poor timing from Millen.
Hyabusa checks a leg kick nicely.
Hyabusa avoids a kick to the body.
Hyabusa takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Millen misses with a body shot.

Hyabusa shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Millen manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Millen throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Millen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Hyabusa wanted to stand there but Millen had control of the position.

Millen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Millen has his foot on Hyabusa's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hyabusa works his way back into a safe position though.
Millen can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hyabusa controls the pace.
